What is heat Treatment in Ruby?
When you take a Ruby Gemstone and heat it with/ without chemicals at high temperatures like 1600 degree centigrade- 1700 degree centigrade to improve clarity and remove inclusions then that is called as Heat Treatment. Heat Treatment in Ruby shall lead to removal of iron stains, dissolve clarity characteristics/ inclusion, improve color and fill up minute cracks.

Is Heat Treated Ruby Effective Astrologically? Will a heated Ruby give Astrological Results?
In a single word- No! The first tenet of a Jyotish Gemstone is to be totally natural and enhancement free. If a Gem fails on this parameter there is no need to explore further the cut, clarity etc. Recently we received a mail from a website viewer that states, there is a vendor of Vedic Astrology Gemstones that says on the home page- For Jyotish Purposes only untreated Gemstones should be used. However, when I see their Ruby Gemstones they state that since Sun is a hot planet a heated Ruby is ok. I want to your opinion on this.
Well, you know the answer yourself. Why do you need a reaffirmation? If a Gem has to deliver results of planets it has to be untreated. There is no exception to this rule. The explanation that Sun is a hot planet and hence heat is ok is really ambiguous/ questionable. We do not find this statement anywhere in the sacred texts or modern science.
The core Temprature of Jupiter reaches 35500 degree centigrade Does that mean we start heating Yellow Sapphires also
If the above statement is true then it should also apply for Yellow Sapphire the Gem of Jupiter. On the upper edge Jupiter has a temperature of -145 Degree Centigrade and an inner core temperature that could be as high as 35500 degree centigrade. Now that is some serious Hot Temperature. So using this logic shall we also start cooking Yellow Sapphires in the furnace? The answer is straight no.
Very few individuals have access to premium unheated Ruby or a real natural pearl. Any other justification of using treated Goods is just pedalling mediocrity, lack of resources etc.
