A Dog is Dog = 9 | Breaking the Cycle of Limiting Behaviors & being a Good Dog & A good Fe-Male Dog  -Shvan Tantra.

By Guruji Shrii Arnav

Ok , my dear, first thing first- being called a dog is a not a bad thing -It is actually a good thing because it is pretty scientific and accurate and as stated in the title A Dog is a Dog-So it is.

and those who might classify themselves as ultra sensitive or terminally unique and who might take off or offence at this wonderful and easy three letter word which is actually the anagram for God.

I have no other remedy but advise to abort reading this post, & that being said for the sake of ultra charged social media environment, let me call the female species of the dog as the as a female dog-though in strict sense of language or science. Such a thing does not exist. It is a made up expression for pansies parading under the umbrella of sensitivity and social etiquette.

Now-Two things

The scientific name of the domestic dog is Canis lupus familiaris. This classification indicates that domestic dogs are a subspecies of the gray wolf (Canis lupus). The familiaris designation distinguishes the domestic dog from its wild counterparts.

So now its entirely upto you to call a dog a dog or with this lupus stuff.

This post is absolute vital for the group for whom- We shall discuss some harsh realities tomorrow in the humans of Gemstoneuniverse That being said- I have earlier made a very powerful and profound learning post on Dog’s Tail  but it seems the learnings have not been imbibed as we shall see and neither it is on the portal because of whatever reason.

When we say A Dog is Dog = 9, we are stating a factual and scientific truth.

The phrase consists of exactly nine letters, but its meaning delves deeper into human behavior and self-sabotaging tendencies.

Like a dog, bound by instinct, people often repeat limiting behaviors passed down through generations.

No matter how much motivation or training they receive, they find themselves reverting to ingrained patterns—complaining, blaming, or reacting instinctively rather than consciously.

Let me share with you three ancient pieces of wisdom that will shed light on this universal truth:

A barking dog alerts both the owner and the thief.”

Much like a barking dog warns not only its master but also the intruder, many people think they are guarding themselves by complaining or overthinking

In reality, their noise only serves to reveal their weaknesses. Constant “barking” scatters your energy and invites negativity.

Unless and until paralyzed, the dog will always lift its leg to pee.

जात असर ना टूटे

कुत्ता टांग उठा कर मूते

Now , I expressly state here without any disclaimer, clearly state here that this idiom indicates the inherent traits acquired by a particular species with no reference to anybody’s caste or religion, so, any propensity for any kind of nuisance annuls itself right away.

Why do we repeat self-destructive behaviors, even when we know better?

Like a dog lifting its leg to mark territory, many of us are trapped in habitual actions—driven by ego, fear, or self-doubt.

These behaviors, passed down through generations, become automatic responses unless something profound—like spiritual awareness—paralyzes them.

“What makes the dog bark all night keeps the sheep quiet.”

Some people constantly bark at their problems—complaining about life, work, or relationships—believing their noise brings solutions.

Yet, observe the sheep: calm, still, and composed. In a world full of barking, true strength lies in quiet, focused action.

From a Dog’s Tail to a Dog’s Tale

Once, there was a dog named Moti( Moti hi hai- Means Pearl) who became infamous in his village for his strange habit of endlessly chasing his own tail.

Despite his master, Ram Bhaiya, giving him food, shelter, and plenty of attention, Moti was obsessed with this self-sabotaging act.

Samajh To Gaya Hi Hoga Tu.

He ignored real threats, his meals, and even his duties, spending all his energy running in circles.

One day, while Moti was busy in his usual tail-chasing episode, a group of thieves broke into Ram Bhaiya’s house.

By the time Moti realized what had happened, the house was looted, and Ram Bhaiya was left wondering how his “loyal” dog could have failed him so miserably.

The moral of the story?

Moti’s obsession with chasing his own tail turned into a cautionary tale about how we often focus on the wrong things, ignore real opportunities, and sabotage ourselves—despite all the right inputs and guidance.

Much like Moti, many of us chase distractions, wasting precious time and energy on trivial matters while real progress passes us by.

The Wisdom of the Vedas: The Dog’s Role

The Vedas, the most ancient scriptures of Hinduism, mention dogs with both reverence and boundaries.

For example, in the Rig Veda, dogs are symbolically associated with Yama, the god of death, acting as guardians of the afterlife.

However, dogs are also seen as creatures that should be kept outside the home to maintain ritual purity, and their licking is discouraged in sacred spaces

This balance of respect with boundaries mirrors how humans should treat instinctual behaviors—acknowledging their existence but keeping them in check to maintain spiritual and personal harmony.

King Yudhishthira’s Test of Loyalty: The Dog and Heaven

First- Dharamraj Yudhishtir Ji Maharaj Ki Jai Ho.

In the Mahaprasthanika Parva of the Mahabharata, King Yudhishthira embarks on his final journey to heaven, accompanied by a loyal dog.

Along the way, his brothers and Draupadi fall dead one by one , but Yudhishthira remains steadfast.

When Indra offers Yudhishthira a place in heaven, he says the dog cannot enter.

However, Yudhishthira refuses to enter heaven without the dog, citing loyalty and righteousness.

The dog is revealed to be the god Dharma, who was testing Yudhishthira’s commitment to dharma.

This act of loyalty and compassion earns Yudhishthira entry into heaven in his mortal form, showing that righteousness transcends mere appearances

Astrological Insight: The Dog and Ketu’s Influence

In Vedic astrology, the dog is symbolically associated with the Headless planet Ketu, which governs spiritual liberation, detachment, and the dissolution of ego.

Like the dog’s loyalty, Ketu guides us beyond material attachments toward the path of enlightenment. Ketu’s influence urges us to break free from karmic cycles and ingrained behaviors, just like the dog that guides us past illusions and distractions
