Anselmites Are Dynamites- And What Did I say to Nasser-Ud- Din Shah in 1988
Blast from the past
To start with , the accomplished artist Mr. Nasseruddin Shah is my super senior in academic career and we have the same alma mater- St. Anselem's.
This pic is from annual function of 1988 and I am on dais to receive the General Proficiency award of the year from Mr. Shah who was the chief Guest that year.
Well that is not the important story.
After taking the award I told Mr. Shah who had just finished a great talk on being a Gentleman, organised, Turn out in Great shape etc that his shoe laces were untied
Me: After taking the award.
Mr. Shah your shoe laces are open
Mr. Shah: Well, So are yours champion
And with that he bent down and tied my shoelaces.
Gentleman for sure . Made my day and made all parents and audience clap.
Today this popped up and bought a lots of memories.
Imagine saying to Mr. Shah in front of Father Raymond- only legends will know.
If you intently look for gems you are bound to find treasure's- Isn't It.
Meanwhile: We both can write, speak, appreciate poetry, are eccentric, are humans and then Anslemites- In that order.
BTW: I think I must have polished my shoes for 30 mins before attending the ceremony- But Jo Hona Hota Hai- Hota hi hai.
