Distinguished Parliamentarian Greetings from Britain
At the very outset much gratitude to Mr. Bob Blackman- CBE for his warm wishes and genial greetings for The Secrets of Jyotish Gems and Getting Featured on the Forbes Cover.
Mr. Blackman has been awarded the coveted CBE- Commander of the Order of the British Empire and those in the know would know what that means and connect the dots.
Besides being a distinguished long standing parliamentarian of the highest degree and ethics .. What is important is the He is a very special friend of India.
Not just standing by and for the Indian Diaspora in the UK , he has played a key role in India- UK trade ties and several other key negotiations. He is our that special friend in the UK.
What is appreciable is that he criticised the biased reporting of the BBC on the Sri Ram Temple in Ayodhya and explained the deep sentiments and ramifications associated with the temple.
He was awarded one of the most prestigious awards of India- The Padma Shree.
Since being elected in 2010, the Member of Parliament for Harrow East has made significant contributions to public service. He secured a seat on the Communities and Local Government Select Committee the same year and was subsequently elected Secretary of the influential 1922 Committee in 2015. From 2004 to 2008, he represented Brent and Harrow on the Greater London Assembly. His extensive political career also includes two decades as Party Leader at Brent Council, from 1990 to 2010.
