The common bane of the salaried class is that they get paid less than the amount of work that they do. The common lament of the entrepreneur is that they get way less returns as compared to the work they execute.

They say that the grass is always greener on the other side but before you make these excuses the salaried should ask would they sacrifice the security of a fixed monthly income and the entrepreneur should ask whether they would leave the excitement of creation and being their own master.

Money management is not an easy thing.

Let me ask you a question

 When was last you treated 5 friends or more at a restraurent with your own money.

 Have you gifted a present to at least 6 people in the past 12 months.

 Have you received at least 4 gifts in the last 6 months.

 Have you had time for pure entertainment without looking that pesky device one refers to as the smart phone.

 Have you spent money in a good standard brand of clothing and a good perfume- Not that $2 deodorant

 Have you deliberately lost money in the last 6 months to help someone or make them important.

 Do some folks in your circle discuss taking a different trajectory to expand your financial horizon.

If the answers to most of these questions are No:

You are not rich

But put in a more direct manner that may hurt

You are poor ( Well somebody has to do it)

You know something my dear it is not that you are just poor money wise.. You are poor in every which way and you are poor every day.

Ok Let me ask a more direct and a difficult question that I asked in one of my Humans of Gemstoneuniverse session:

Remove your Employer and Parents

Now ask this question

Whoever is left from top 10- Would they lend you a paltry sum of $10,000/- ( Pls convert into local currency) had you been in an emergency or urgent situation.

For some it can be a hurtful thing, for some pain point and for some reality Check.

Choose what you want.

The answer to above question will give you two data points:

 The Strength of Your Network

 The state of Your Fiscal and Financial Health. In other words your Goodwill, Creditworthiness and worth in society.

For those who are in an up down cycle of making and losing wealth and have some taste of the fast money your question to contemplate would be:

If somebody invests X amount of money with you what is the interest rate per annum can you provide consistently despite whatever drama is happening around you.
