The Glass Wall and the Nine Planets: Navigating Relationships, Shadows, and Cosmic Truths Actor- Chandra Keeti Feat
GLASS WALL=9
Yesterday, I had a wonderful meeting and introduction with a SIP (student in progress), the actor, director, star and a creative person wearing many hata, Mr. Chandra Keerti. This post is the result of that and is dedicated to him.
In the intricate mosaic of life, the Glass Wall is not just a metaphor for boundaries but a lens through which we understand relationships, self-awareness, and the delicate balance of light and shadow.
Like the nine planets, the glass wall comes in many forms—transparent, frosted, textured, or adorned—each serving a unique purpose in connecting, protecting, and reflecting. Together, they weave a narrative that celebrates individuality, connection, and the cosmic dance that binds us all.
The essence of a Glass wall between two individuals means that we can see each other through the either side of the wall but we cannot touch each other due to the presence of the wall.
In short, we have enough trust in each other to have only a transparent wall between us but at the same time we maintain respectful distance, respect privacy and know our place- our roles are clear in each others Lives.
A Meeting of Minds: Chandra Keerthi and the Glass Wall
Yesterday, I had the privilege of meeting Kannada film actor and director Chandra Keerthi, a man of humility, depth, and artistic brilliance.
Known for his impactful roles in films such as Silicon City, Kiss, Mookavismitha, and Benki, Chandra Keerthi is a name synonymous with versatility in Karnataka’s cinema.
His directorial debut, Tootu Madike, a celebrated comedy, showcased his ability to narrate stories that resonate deeply with audiences while capturing the vibrancy of Karnataka’s culture.
Now, Chandra Keerthi is embarking on a new artistic journey with his second directorial venture, Huliya.
The first look of the film reveals a ferocious, primal persona—a stark contrast to the gentle and soft-spoken individual I know had the pleasure of meeting most recently- Yesterday.
This duality, this ability to explore vastly different personas, inspired a reflection on the layers of human personality, the boundaries we maintain, and the connections we nurture.
Celebrating Karnataka: The Land of Stories and Spirit
Jaya Karnataka:
Karnataka, the cultural heartland of India, is a land where tradition and modernity coexist harmoniously.
From its rich history of art and literature to its vibrant cinema, Karnataka has always been a cradle of creativity and storytelling.
Chandra Keerthi’s work beautifully reflects this essence, bringing to life the people, struggles, and triumphs of this remarkable state.
Karnataka’s cinema is not merely entertainment—it is an exploration of life itself.
Through films like Tootu Madike and Huliya, Chandra Keerthi channels the cultural ethos of Karnataka, celebrating its humor, intensity, and resilience.
As a storyteller, he carries forward the legacy of Karnataka’s profound contribution to art, inspiring audiences and fellow artists alike.
A Visual Metaphor: The Glass Wall in the Creative
Reflecting on the creative featuring myself and Chandra Keerthi, the Glass Wall is perfectly illustrated:
- Extreme Left: Chandra Keerthi’s Huliya look exudes raw, primal energy, a warrior-like persona that embodies rage, instinct, and unfiltered emotion. This side of him, visible to the world through his art, is powerful yet distant—a face separated by a transparent glass wall of awe and respect.
- Extreme Right: Yours truly, radiating a sense of being just about happy and ok in any situation.
My transformation( This was me 12 years back- Jupiter is now about to complete its cycle of 12- Connect the dots), while equally intense, is imbued with a sense of serenity and grace.
This image represents the self-reflected face—one that is true, content, and fully aware of its light and shadow.
- Center: The poster of Tootu Madike acts as the literal and symbolic glass wall between me and Chandra Keerthi. It is both a bridge and a boundary—representing the creative connection between the two of us while preserving the individuality of our journeys.
The film itself, as an artistic creation, serves as a transparent medium where ideas, personas, and philosophies can meet without blending.
The placement of these elements encapsulates the essence of the Glass Wall—a framework where two transformative individuals coexist, influencing and inspiring each other without overshadowing.
The Actor’s Duality: A Reflection on the Glass Wall
As I spoke with Chandra Keerthi, it struck me how profoundly an actor embodies the Glass Wall.
Much like the profound Japanese saying, “A man has three faces: the first he shows the world, the second to those closest to him, and the third only to himself,” an actor navigates these layers daily:
- The Public Face: The raging, primal figure in the Huliya poster—wild, ferocious, and untamed.
- The Personal Face: The humble, soft-spoken individual who entered my space with gratitude and grace.
- The Inner Face: The reflective artist who channels his shadows and transforms them into meaningful art.
In the Huliya poster, Chandra Keerthi appears as a wolf-like figure, driven by instinct and raw emotion.
Yet in person, he is one of the most soft spoken and gentlemanly individuals I have met—thoughtful, grounded, and respectful.
This duality is a testament to the actor’s craft and the human capacity to embrace light and shadow, each separated by a metaphorical glass wall.
The Glass Wall and Father-Son Relationships
The Glass Wall is not only a metaphor for individual identity but also a guiding principle for relationships, especially between fathers and sons. This sacred bond, though deeply intimate, requires boundaries to thrive. As I often reflect, the father-son relationship must balance:
- Closeness: Sharing wisdom, values, and guidance.
- Respectful Distance: Allowing the son to grow independently, learning from both the father’s strengths and flaws.
The father is the son’s first teacher, but his role evolves over time.
By maintaining a glass wall of privacy and respect, the father ensures that his son honours the legacy while carving his own path.
Similarly, the son learns to cherish the wisdom passed down without being overwhelmed by it, preserving his individuality.
The story of the Sun (Surya) and Saturn (Shani) in Vedic mythology illustrates this perfectly.
Though their relationship was strained, they ultimately respected each other’s roles and responsibilities in the cosmic order.
This balance of connection and independence is the cornerstone of any lasting bond.
The Nine Planets and the Glass Wall
Each of the nine planets (Navagraha) mirrors a facet of the Glass Wall, influencing how we navigate relationships and self-awareness:
1. The Sun (Surya) : Transparent, offering clarity and leadership while demanding respectful distance.
2. The Moon (Chandra) : Frosted, representing emotions and intimacy filtered through subtlety.
3. Mars (Mangal) : Tempered, strong and protective, symbolizing resilience and energy.
4. Mercury (Budha) : Clear yet flexible, fostering communication and understanding.
5. Jupiter (Guru) : Stained, filtering light into wisdom and expansive knowledge.
6. Venus (Shukra) : Decorative, celebrating beauty, love, and harmony.
7. Saturn (Shani) : Textured, teaching patience and respect through karmic lessons.
8. Rahu : Privacy film, observing unseen, shrouded in mystery.
9. Ketu : Etched, intricate and spiritual, inspiring self-reflection.
The Above is very powerful information not found elsewhere and if you can put it to use - you are on your merry way to be a legend.
उद्धरेदात्मनात्मानं नात्मानमवसादयेत्।
आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्धुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मनः॥
(Bhagavad Gita 6.5)
“One must elevate oneself through one’s mind, not degrade oneself. The mind is both a friend and an enemy.”
This verse speaks to the innermost glass wall—the self-reflective face that governs our inner growth.
