Another Or Rather from One Student To Another
First things first- Happy Guru Purnima- It just happened Regardless of the almanac one follows- Today is the Only Day- The Special Day and Night Dedicated to the Guru- The ascended Master who takes us from Ignorance to Bliss- Jai Gurudev.
That being said - to receive my First grade/ first morsel of food on this divine auspicious day from totally unexpected Quarters- from a man whose name ends with MAA. I consider it is very fortunate.
Thank you NI- MAA for arranging the food in such a beautiful manner and trying to delight me. You sure, Pleasantly surprised me with your Gesture but it might break big glasses and small egos( Its in my stories section today and better remain there only .. Because …)
Now I will clarify- clarify one thing that some people randomly approach me to have a teacher student or a guru Shishya relationship and I have written extensively about it, but my benchmark is-
I always tell them first you TEST me and then I will TEST you, and if we both, qualify, then we can be teacher and student, Guru and disciple, which is quite unlike what is taught in regular organised education and past as schools or curriculum .
So in totality, the only reasonable outcome is that this is not a particular event or the festival that has unique ramifications for you, but that being said it has for me.

More than those who wished me on this special day I would like to express my gratitude to those who understood the true traditions of our teacher-student relationships, and organised donation of food, clothes, medicines, and injections to those who need it the most in different parts of the world. I am happy to see that for some of you- The consciousness has woken up and you are doing the seva( Service) out of genuine devotion and not for mere show or accolades.

Guru Purnima: Honouring Teachers and Their Timeless Wisdom
Guru Purnima is a traditional Hindu and Buddhist festival dedicated to spiritual and academic teachers.

**Buddhist Tradition:** For Buddhists, Guru Purnima is significant as it is believed to be the day when Lord Buddha gave his first sermon at Sarnath after attaining enlightenment.

An Inspiring Story: Eklavya and Dronacharya
In the epic Mahabharata, there is a poignant story that exemplifies the virtues of dedication, respect, and self-sacrifice towards one's Guru.
Eklavya, a young prince of the Nishadha tribe, aspired to be a great archer and sought the tutelage of the legendary Guru Dronacharya. However, Dronacharya, who was committed to teaching the royal princes, particularly Arjuna, declined Eklavya's request due to his Clearly Defined Role and Duty as per the Rajya- The King and His Kingdom- Guru Drona had to

Undeterred, Eklavya crafted a clay idol of Dronacharya and began practicing archery with unwavering devotion and discipline, considering the idol as his Guru.
His self-training and dedication were so profound that he became an exceptional archer, surpassing even the royal students.
One day, Dronacharya and his students came across Eklavya in the forest. Astonished by his skill, Dronacharya asked Eklavya about his Guru.
Eklavya humbly pointed to the clay idol, acknowledging Dronacharya as his spiritual teacher.
To uphold his promise of making Arjuna the greatest archer, Dronacharya asked Eklavya for his right thumb as Guru Dakshina (a traditional offering to the teacher).
Without hesitation, Eklavya severed his thumb and offered it to Dronacharya, thereby sacrificing his skill to honor his Guru's wish.
This story of Eklavya and Dronacharya is a powerful reminder of the profound respect, dedication, and selflessness that defines the sacred bond between a Guru and disciple.
It serves as an inspiration for us to honor and cherish our teachers, who illuminate our paths with knowledge and wisdom.

The relationship between a true teacher and a true student is unlike anything else in this world and when we raise ourselves above the cliches and have a deep- deep understanding of the Gem of the philosophy world- this is what it just said about the teacher and the guru, and I hope that teachers follow these and do justice to the students. Let me give you the cream in short six sentences-

**Bhagavad Gita:** Just as the blazing fire turns firewood to ashes, so does the fire of knowledge burn to ashes all reactions to material activities. (Bhagavad Gita 4.37)
**Bible:** The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher. (Luke 6:40)
**Quran:** And We sent not before you any but men to whom We sent revelation—so ask the People of the Message if you do not know. (Quran 16:43)
**Guru Granth Sahib:** The Guru is the ocean, and all His Teachings are the rivers. Bathing in the sacred pool of truth, one is forever in bliss. (Guru Granth Sahib, Ang 19)
