Yesterday at 12:03 The FB social network accorded a Blue Check Mark known as a verified badge to my account.
What it means to me:
Nothing
What it means to those who love me
Nothing
What it means to those in conflict
Huge Entropy & Discomfort
As Per FB It means and on their portal and in their own legalese:
Complete
Authentic
Unique
and
Notable:Represent a well-known, often searched person, brand or entity. We review Pages and profiles that are featured in multiple news sources and we don't consider paid or promotional content as sources for review.
The Immediate result of this was that there was a huge flurry of activity in my mentorship and other groups with congratulatory messages pouring in with some out of box discussions- courtesy the

Glad that I do not use email ( now completing a cycle of 12 years)- And neither do I use messenger etc.
The funny part is that some people who actually represent Organisations or Governments in different countries made a huge deal out of it with Letters of appreciation and acknowledgements on official looking paper decorated with seals etc coming as digital copies.
The End Result- After viewing 3-4 - This is not a good thing at all. I mean being on the internet since 1995 and contributing we do not need this sort of a thing.
Thank you but no thank you- I will still not take up 999 out of 1000 proposals sent my way.
