From Trying to Be Happy to Simply Being: The Strategy of Legends

 Ok, my dear first things first- wish you a very good morning.

I could have easily titled this post as how to be happy forever by learning to eat, and then like everything else which is good and important- It would have been appreciated but never applied because applying good things and getting benefited from them. Depends a lot on brain power, but your destiny power.

 My initial thought of the day was from

 trying to be happy to just try to be  or Just B 

is the first massive revolutionary step towards living a life of your dreams on your own terms.

Remember, I say your dreams. It is okay to follow a template or be inspired by somebody, but just following them will defeat your purpose because that is not your dream. 

 Make that distinction today.

 Follow your dream and be yourself is the first key of being happy or whatever you want to be. 

And I will suggest one starting practice that will really make you happy, is doable and will start your Journey towards Legendary Level.

A subtle shift in focus—from trying to be happy to simply trying to be —is a monumental change.

This isn’t just a play on words. It’s a huge recalibration of your mind.

You start telling yourself that the way you are right now, in this very moment, is perfectly okay

As I always say, “Whatever is available, is adequate.”  Once you embrace this, you begin to just be.

And this shift comes with a deep understanding—that you are already perfect as you are. You are independent, functional, rational, and capable of making the best decisions for yourself.

Now, I am not one for overwhelming, grandiose gestures.

I always say, “I am the man who boils the ocean spoon by spoon.”

That’s how true transformation happens—strategically, step by step. True Transformation and True Results that stay with you.. Never to be lost- Never to be stolen.

Especially in today’s world, where someone is always trying to sell you something—peace, luck, wealth, love —by convincing you that you are lacking.

But if you embrace the shift from chasing to simply being, you’ll see how everything starts aligning .

At this juncture, I would like to bring in an ancient teaching from Indian scriptures that I often refer to,

 “जैसा अन्न वैसा मन” —what you eat, you become.

If you understand the depth of this, you will realize that even the most subtle of dietary changes can lead to profound mental and physical shifts.

So, eat like a legend, for you are destined to be one.

As the Bible wisely states, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31) This reminds us to approach every meal and every action with mindfulness and purpose.

 

 The Story of a Champion’s Transformation

Let me share with you the story of a tennis superstar who, despite his incredible talent, dedication, and team of world-class advisors, was stuck.

He would climb to the World No. 1 ranking but only hold it for three to four weeks before slipping back.

His team—full of coaches, nutritionists, and trainers—couldn’t pinpoint what was holding him back. They had tried everything, and yet the answer eluded them.

I was invited to give inputs and I stated only 1 condition - that- I observe him for eight weeks and in this time He shall never speak to me unless spoken to.

I did nothing but watch—his training, his diet, his routine.

At the end of the eighth week, I made a simple suggestion. I asked him to remove one particular ingredient from his diet.

Much to his surprise, he questioned it, stating that it was the most expensive natural, organic herbal supplement that he believed enhanced his game.

But as I always say, “unless and until you statistically try something, you can’t dismiss it.” So, I suggested he give it a try for just 42 days.

What happened next was remarkable.

By making this small change, his performance soared. His ranking as World No. 1 became solid and he held onto it for a long period, becoming the man to beat for every contender.

All it took was a small adjustment. That’s the power of mindful awareness and small, deliberate changes.

Boil the Ocean, One Spoon at a Time: The Strategy of Legends

Being yourself, independent of external expectations, is about moving with purpose. Just as a grand chef selects ingredients to craft a perfect dish, you must select the thoughts, actions, and moments that touch your soul.

Just Start this experiment with your own food and your choice. Once you get the hang of this experiment- That’s It your unique cut, copy, paste to every single issue in life.

Here’s how you do it:

Tip: Try to do this just for 1 meal of your day. Just one. Plain, Simple or Ostentatious- Your choice.

I may humbly state that Just simple plain rice tastes awesomely good and different at my place. Check for proof..

1. Choose Ingredients that Touch Your Soul : You’re the grand chef of your own life. Choose ingredients that not only satisfy your taste but also nourish your spirit. Don’t fall into the trap of trying to outdo your previous meals—just focus on what feels right in the moment. Choose by your taste and mood- so no flax seeds or chia seeds. If it’s plain potatoes then potatoes it is. Remember you are the master here.

2. Master the Temperature : The temperature of your food is a key component. Whether it’s piping hot or room temperature, pay attention to what excites your senses.

Even the size of the bowl affect this—bigger bowls cool food faster, smaller bowls keep it warmer. Become conscious of these details, because they matter.

Apply these pointer examples to other stuff/ situations in Life.

3. Mind the Timing : Are you hungry, or just eating because it’s time? Maybe today, you eat 25% less than your usual portion and plan the next meal. This keeps your mind alert and excited for what’s coming next.

4. Control Your Portion Size : The first signal your brain gets about portion size comes from your eyes and the weight of your plate.

Whether you’re serving yourself or holding the bowl, that feeling triggers something in your mind, shaping your satisfaction even before you take the first bite.

5. Be Fully Present : When you sit down for that special meal, give it your full attention. No distractions—no mobile, no TV , no newspaper. It’s just you and your meal. You are important, and you deserve this moment of focus.

6. Accompaniments Are Just Extras : Think of accompaniments like booster frames—they can enhance the experience, but use them sparingly. Don’t overwhelm your main dish with extras like pickles or toppings until you’ve truly experienced the core flavours.

7. Choose Your Beverage Wisely : The liquid part of your meal is just as important. Sometimes, room temperature water is perfect; other times, maybe you need something slightly cooler or warmer. Make a thoughtful choice based on your meal.

8. What’s on Your Mind While Eating? : Your thoughts are as powerful as the food itself. Without distractions, your brain will continue to think—so give it something valuable to focus on. What will you ponder while nourishing your body? Choose thoughts that align with growth and energy, because the connection between mind and body is real.

9. Reflect and Give Thanks : After your special meal, take a moment to reflect on the entire experience. How did it make you feel? Did you notice a shift in your mood or energy? Gratitude is a powerful tool. As you finish your meal, give thanks—not just for the food, but for the effort you put into making it special, and for the awareness you brought to the experience. Gratitude reinforces the feeling that whatever is available, is adequate, and it helps you ground yourself in the present moment.

 

 

Two very important things:

 At the risk of sounding repetitive, counting your calories, checking nutritional labels, eating that so called healthy stuff Like Chia Seeds etc is great, but whenever you are picking such a food item, always make the query that

is it compatible with the food group and food items native to your original place of birth or the place where you grew up because that is how the pattern is set in your body

Doing anything else or opposite to that might give it.

Your digestive system and machine is a big huge machine, and it will digest everything, but unless and until compatible with you, even good stuff. can give bad results.

Remember, give respect to the food and eat it at the designated place for eating.

Because wherever you are eating the food, it will keep you there so ditch the bed, else, your food will keep you in bed.

 Just one example, you will keep sleeping but not get refreshed. Don’t do that mistake. God bless you.

As we conclude, I would like to highlight again the ancient wisdom, “जैसा अन्न वैसा मन.” What you consume directly affects your mental state, your body, and your spirit.

This is why it’s essential to eat like a legend—because legends know that everything they consume reflects their greatness. When you live and eat with awareness, the transformation in your life is inevitable.
