When we think of calamity, we imagine collapsing bridges, giant tidal waves, burning buildings—the stuff of movies and childhood textbooks. That’s what we were shown. That’s what we believed.
But the real earthquake?
It often hits silently—in the mind, in bank ledgers, in broken routines, in invisible anxieties.
On March 29, 2025-Bangkok trembled. And so did thousands of hearts.
I was among the first to publicly share the impact—not out of alarmism, but awareness.
While so call official voices try to maintain a façade of “all is normal,” those of us who walked through the moment know—everything shifted.
Also worthwhile to contemplate is earthquake or no earthquake. The school has to be deposited and the rent need to get paid.
A Tale of Two Buildings
PS: Whatever I share is from real life scenarios and things and events as they happen, and this is as human I can get.

Case One: A respected doctor turned entrepreneur owns four properties. Each impacted.
Tenants want to leave. Deposits must be returned. EMIs to the bank remain.
A family man becomes a debtor overnight. Not by choice—but by economic aftershocks. All 4 properties damaged- and all four tenants need to be paid a deposit immediately.
Case Two: The Jewelry Trade Center—the global Mecca of colored gemstones.
50+ floors of gem dealers, diamond specialists, artisans.
As the earth shook, an announcement:
“Evacuate immediately.”
No time for safes, for vaults. Millions in gems left on tables.
But no chaos. No theft. Just discipline and dharma.
That is the spirit of this ancient trade.
It is not just business. It is legacy, karma, fortitude—cut and polished into light.

This is a time for editing, not executing.

Either spiritualised courage, or ego-driven confusion.
The choice is yours.
Don’t be fooled by surface normalcy—real change comes quietly.
The Prayer Outside the Rubble
At dawn, I stood outside the JTC.
