Mother - The One True Mentor - In Her Feet Lies the World - Thoughts on Mother’s Day 
At the very outset, best wishes and many greetings on International Mother’s Day. I take this opportunity to salute and pay my respects to the mother component in our lives that protects, nurtures, empowers, and ensures that the good part we inherit is shared with others, to mother earth and fellow human beings.
Since time immemorial, in conventional and predictable iconography, the mother has been portrayed as a loving being, but the mother's role is much more than that. It is for this reason that Krishna grew up with Yashodha, then Devki, to fulfill his one true destiny and show the light to the world.
A couple of days back, I heard the news that a nice girl whom I have met just three times in this physical life had become pregnant. I have no idea whether the girl is as excited about it to the level of my excitement, but that news did two things.
I actually celebrated that event in my mind and, as a blessing, gave her friend some money to transfer to her. Then, I had a brief conversation about the Garba Sanskar and expounded a bit on how the best education of the child happens in the womb of the mother. I advised her to read good, empowering material, listen to powerful music, go for long walks, and drink milk and eat fruits & nuts.
At roughly around 9 1/2 weeks,
( in this time & age) the foetus has the consciousness to absorb most of the inputs given by the mother, with the biggest advantage being protected by the mother's womb, fairly untouched and not influenced by surrounding people and energies.
That is why mothers-to-be should focus on these nine and a half weeks to ensure that their child, before even physically putting their feet in the world, is empowered from the womb itself. It is called Garba Sanskar.
A mother and child’s relationship, equation, and bond are a fairly complex one where their destinies, even though entwined, are separate. People may have complicated issues with their mothers or childhood trauma or misunderstanding, but whatever the case, there are two emotions which are universal for the mother, which are- love and respect, even if they are not expressed outwardly.
This is because the mother is the first true mentor or teacher, so to say, and she is the perfect mentor or teacher because she has been chosen by nature to bring you into this physical world so you have no choice( Thank God for That-Really)
She is the ultimate Apex choice picked up by nature to ensure the best possible outcomes for you, starting with survival, handholding, acquiring experience all the time while she is protecting you, nurturing you, loving you.
When Forbes gave me the title of the Mentor of Mentors and the Grandmaster of Circling the Square and Squaring the Circle, I was thrilled, not because Forbes had given me the title.
The short form of Mentor of Mentors is Mom- MOM, and I had this flash where I saw my brilliant mother in my mind, with the word mom translating as Mother of Mentors.
In an orthodox -organised world space, my relationship with my mother has not been an ideal one, a.k.a. the cringeworthy stuff they show in regional cinema, but I have acquired my spirit, especially of giving it back fair & square, from my mother.
I was contemplating about my mother’s profession as an apex doctor specialising in anaesthesiology.
I was thinking about the power she had to make people sleep or the greater power to gently make them come back to life. That is a superior skill, but for the patient to have immense faith in being in that state speaks volumes.
Today is also Shankaracharya’s Jayanti. Adi Shankara is the teacher of the Deva Adi Deva, the Lord of Lords, Lord Shiva.
I take this opportunity to offer my obeisances at the feet of Adi Shankaracharya and all mothers of the world.
Honesty and hard work are the soft, fluffy words behind which a poor, insipid & weak man hides. A true man is at the front facing the music, or better still, making the music and that will only come from a true mother.
Remember what I mentioned about Lord Krishna being raised by Yashoda and not Devki, and had it not been for Yashoda, Krishna would not have been Krishna.
Now, going back to Guruji Shrii Arnav’s way and the true meaning of this great day called Mother’s Day, appreciate the full bloom and the power of the nine divine planets who control nearly just about anything and everything in our life, except the one powerful blessing of the mother.
Before I explain that, contemplate on Gandhari- the wife of the Dhritrashtra and the mother of the Kauravas.
She gave all her full power when she removed the blindfold, but Krishna, born of Devki and raised by Yashoda, ensured that the full power of Gandhari’s whole life did not fully benefit Duryodhan.
In fact, a portion of that blessing actually became a curse and eventually led to the death of Duryodhan.
