9:12- The Guruji Shrii Arnav’s way.
At the Very Outset Many Auspicious Greetings for the Jagannath Yatra - The Annual showcasing and divine sight of the Lord Jagannath at Puri. May the Lord of the world always have benign blessings on you and your loved ones and May your problems be solved so that you can lead a healthy and cheerful Life.
Now 5 things first before I pen down my thoughts as per the title:
What is Guruji Shrii Arnav 9:12 way:
As more and more new people are joining/ following or getting curious at level 1 the
9 stands for the 9 planets that govern our destiny, the 12 stands for the 12 sacred houses in your birth chart/ horoscope signifying your journey from the womb to the tomb including everything in between. At level 2= 9*12=108 and that is a story for another day.
The Word Jagannath means the Lord of the World and the English Word now an official word in the Oxford Dictionary “ Juggernaut” is a variation of the name Jagannath and that simply means - a huge, powerful, and overwhelming force or institution.
Jagannath - taking care of all is a tough task. Try imaging being the head of your own family.
As I write this The Prince of Darkness- Phra Rahu enters the constellation of Father Time- Saturn. What it means for each sign astrologically- I shall pen down in a separate post but I should do my duty first:
Pull up the map of Jambu Dweepa and See the Area from Alaknanda upwards especially between Ketu Maal And Malyavan- These areas will have natural calamities such as Floods, Lightening, earthquakes and fire accidents. Also in the world there will be a big explosion. The Kosi and Gandaki Rivers on the Nepal side will breach their safety marks- It is just the way Rahu Announces its great entry.
I am but just a servant and whatever meaningful I write is due to the grace of My Boss- Lord Narayana- The Lord of the 3 Worlds and if there are any errors they are solely attributed to my senile and insipid sensibilities and below average intellectual prowess.
Now Since the record has been set straight- Hear Guruji’s version of the story of Lord Jagannath in just 9 points( each controlled by a planet- disciples and followers to identify which One).
And With each of the 9 steps of the divine Lord- I share the learning and philosophy. Contemplation, application and implementation of these will set you free.

Guruji Shrii Arnav’s 9:12 Jagannath Katha( Story and Legend May be Blessed with supreme abundance and Great Vitality)

The Legend of Lord Jagannath in 9 Steps:
1. **Divine Revelation:**
King Indradyumna, a devoted follower of Vishnu, received a divine vision indicating the presence of Lord Vishnu in the form of Nila Madhava (a blue stone- contemplate which one ) somewhere in Odra (Odisha). He aimed to bring Nila Madhava to the grand temple he was constructing in Puri.
अकर्मणश्च बोद्धव्यं गहना कर्मणो गतिः
- _“Gahana karmano gatih.”_ (The ways of karma are unfathomable.) — Bhagavad Gita 4.17
2. **Search for Nila Madhava:**
The King dispatched four Brahmins in different directions to search for Nila Madhava. Bidyapati, the youngest, went east and reached Sabaradwipa on the Mahanadi riverbank. There, he learned that Nila Madhava was worshipped by Biswabasu, the tribal king of the Sabara clan, as their Kula Devata in a secret cave.
Hint: The 4 Brahmins represent the 4 pillars of Dharma, Artha, Kaam, Moksha.
- _“विद्याधनं सर्वधनप्रधानम्।”_ (Knowledge is the supreme wealth.) — Sanskrit Proverb
3. **Marriage and Revelation:**
During his stay, Bidyapati married Biswabasu's daughter, Lalita. Through her, he convinced Biswabasu to take him to the cave of Nila Madhava.
- _“सत्यं वद, धर्मं चर।”_ (Speak the truth, practice righteousness.) — Taittiriya Upanishad
4. **Marking the Path:**
Biswabasu agreed but blindfolded Bidyapati to keep the cave's location secret. Cleverly, Bidyapati dropped mustard seeds along the way to mark the path.
- _“धैर्यं सर्वत्र साधनम्।”_ (Patience is the key to success.) — Sanskrit Proverb
5. **Nila Madhava Disappears:**
After visiting the cave, Bidyapati escaped and returned with King Indradyumna. However, Nila Madhava had disappeared by then.
- _“योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्।”_ (Yoga is excellence in action.) — Bhagavad Gita 2.50
6. **Divine Instruction:**
After a long wait, Vishnu appeared in Indradyumna's dream, promising to manifest as Jagannatha, Balabhadra, Subhadra, and Sudarshana in Kali Yuga. He instructed the King to find a sacred log (Daru) floating in the Mahanadi river near Banki for crafting the idols.
Contemplation- Where is Sudarshan.
- _“स्वधर्मे निधनं श्रेयः।”_ (It is better to die in one’s own duty.) — Bhagavad Gita 3.35
7. **Discovery of Daru:**
Indradyumna found the Daru but faced challenges in crafting the idols. Lord Vishwakarma, disguised as an old craftsman, offered to make the idols under the condition of working alone for 21 days behind closed doors.
- _“कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।”_ (You have a right to perform your prescribed duties but are not entitled to the fruits of your actions.) — Bhagavad Gita 2.47
8. **Incomplete Idols:**
On the 14th day, Queen Gundicha, worried about the craftsman, opened the door, breaking the condition. Vishwakarma disappeared, leaving the idols incomplete, which explains the unique appearance of the deities.
- _“उद्योगिनं पुरुषसिंहमुपैति लक्ष्मीः।”_ (Fortune favors the industrious.) — Sanskrit Proverb
9. **Rath Yatra Inception:**
The deities were then enshrined in the Puri temple and, every year, are taken out in a grand chariot festival known as the Rath Yatra. This festival symbolizes the journey of the deities to their garden temple, Gundicha Temple.
- _“वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्।”_ (The world is one family.) — Maha Upanishad

**Symbol of Unity:**
The annual Rath Yatra festival in Puri brings together millions of people, emphasizing the universal brotherhood and service among devotees worldwide.
- _“सर्वं सौभग्यमाश्रय।”_ (All fortune abides in faith.) — Sanskrit Proverb
Important: Lord Jagannath is far too big to be attributed weak statements like- The Lord will test you.
He Loves all Equally and ensures that Good luck and divine help is available in difficult times regardless of your belief ot non belief in him.
Top that in your life and profession and there will be no looking Back.
