The Two Pizza Rule, popularised by Jeff Bezos, transformed the way businesses think about teamwork and innovation.
The idea is simple:
If two pizzas cannot feed your team, it’s too big.
Now, let me share how this principle, integrated with the Guruji Shrii Arnav 9 by 12 Way, became a turning point for a major car corporation in Bangkok.
My Experience with the Two-Pizza Rule in Bangkok 
A few years ago, I was approached by a well-known car corporation—Kathina Automotous Dynamics—that was at a critical juncture.
Based in the heart of Bangkok, this company had pioneered electric vehicles in Southeast Asia but was facing an existential crisis.
Their teams were bloated, decisions were slow, and innovation was practically stalled.
Despite having cutting-edge technology, they were unable to deliver results.
Their CEO, Mr. Kaito Nakamura, sought my counsel after hearing of my philosophies and transformative guidance.
Over a cup of tea in a serene penthouse overlooking Bangkok’s skyline- , I listened patiently to their struggles.
Then, I introduced him to the Two-Pizza Rule but with the depth of the Guruji Shrii Arnav 9 by 12 Way.
I explained:
“Your corporation is like an overgrown banyan tree. While its roots are deep, its branches are suffocating its ability to grow.
Let us prune the unnecessary and nurture the essential.”
We restructured their organization into small, agile teams that could be fed by two pizzas—teams no larger than 5-7 members.
But I added an additional layer of alignment, rooted in the 9 by 12 Way:
Purpose: Each team had to be crystal clear on how their work contributed to the corporation’s mission.
Clarity: Every team member had defined roles to eliminate confusion.
Cosmic Alignment: I personally ensured that team members were compatible energetically—yes, even astrologically —so their efforts would flow harmoniously.
The Turning Point: Bangkok Auto Expo
Their first challenge under the new structure came quickly: the Bangkok Auto Expo, Southeast Asia’s largest automotive showcase, was just three months away.
They needed to unveil their latest electric vehicle, the NeoFlux X1, but delays had left the project in chaos.
I divided their team into three smaller, focused groups:
Design and Aesthetics
Technology and Performance
Marketing and Launch Strategy
Each group was empowered to innovate and make decisions without bureaucratic interference. I reminded them:
“Innovation is not born in crowded rooms; it is born in the quiet brilliance of small, focused minds working as one.”
The result?
At the Auto Expo, the NeoFlux X1 stole the show with its sleek design, groundbreaking technology, and a compelling story about sustainable mobility. Little did they know
that I was the guest of honour at the expo and the portion of tech used in flux was to be integrated in the GWM Tank.

Orders poured in, shattering all sales records. The once-struggling Automotus Dynamics was now back on top, with a rejuvenated spirit and a renewed focus on excellence.
A Lesson for Us
Dear Humans of Gemstone Universe,
The Two-Pizza Rule isn’t just a business principle—it’s a spiritual one. It teaches us to simplify, align, and focus our energies.
In your work, ask yourself:
- Are we aligned with a shared purpose?
- Are we collaborating without ego?
- Are we creating brilliance, or are we caught in unnecessary complexities?
I see some of you playing a Game of Thrones, driven by insecurities and ambition. That ends today.
Instead, let us become constellations—small, purpose-driven groups of brilliance that shine together.
Remember:
It’s not about who wins, but how we make each other shine.
